We were lucky to know Jeremy and Carol after they moved to our neighborhood in Anchorage, Alaska. Jeremy had an amazing technical mind, as well as being a prankster at heart!  His sense of humor was infectious. We knew him as a friend, rather than a technician and owner of KYES TV.  We needed someone to feed our cats for a few days, and he volunteered to not only feed them, but also to clean their litter pans!  All while he thought he didn’t like cats.  (Ha!  He found out differently after he became friends with Cat in South Africa!). One of the things that gave him the biggest laugh, and us too, was when the teenager across the street had a big party while Mom was away.  Jeremy had a laser light, and shined it from his window through theirs onto their ceiling and around the room.  The kids went crazy trying to figure out from where it was coming.  I don’t know if he ever let them in on it… He also had a big black dog named Barney, that he loved.  One time, he took Barney to the office, where one of his employees noticed Barney didn’t seem right.  He took Barney to the vet, where it was determined that Barney had  so much cancer in his body, that he couldn't survive.  It broke Jeremy’s heart.  I see he got another big black dog while in South Africa-I’m glad.   During his life, Jeremy battled various health issues, including asthma and allergies.  While at KYES, he had a severe asthma attack and almost lost his life when he stopped breathing.  Luckily, there was an urgent care facility next door, and they brought him back to his usual mischievous self. Jeremy was a super friend, and we miss him...
