A TRIBUTE TO JEREMY LANSMAN:  BY RONETTA SAFFREY

I unfortunately did not have the pleasure of getting to know Jeremy very well, however I have had the privilege to have known him and on the occasions that we were in each other’s company, I was not aware of his notoriety as he in his modesty never boasted about his past and he conversed by being present, witty, attentive and knowledgeable from a point of non-apologetic directness and confidence.

My most profound experience was the effect that he had on my dear friend, his wife, Ineke.

Ineke has always been a self-assured, successful and world-renowned in her own right as a cultural anthropologist working for the improvement of circumstances pertaining to the equality of women, as well as social diseases all over the planet and was not needy or lacking in any aspect of her being, just as Jeremy was.

Such a diverse and unconventional couple somehow managed to display allowance of, and respect for, the differences of character, without compromise, but rather completion of one another, a perfect blend of yin and yang, male and female energy, which is rare and unconventional and that can only be achieved with unconditional love.

A rare and enlightening union in deed!
